Dr. Abby Aresty is a composer, sound artist, and educator who uses technology to facilitate unexpected interactions between people, the built environment, and the natural world. Aresty’s site-specific installations have been featured in local and national news outlets including NPR’s All Things Considered. Since joining the teaching staff at Oberlin Conservatory, Aresty has spearheaded numerous outreach events for local kids and has taught electronic music at the Community Music School. Aresty is passionate about introducing girls to the intersection of technology and creativity.
Aresty will be joined by teaching assistants who are current students at Oberlin College and Conservatory.
